Based out of Prescott and Phoenix Arizona our Canyoneering trips explore some of the most enchanting terrain in the United States.

Canyoneering (also known as canyoning) is a word used to refer to hiking through a canyon where roped, or technical, travel is required.  This also may include swimming.

Arizona is home to an abundance of canyoneering objectives with canyon country that carves through almost all major rock types and ecosystems giving us a very extended canyoneering season as well as heightened level of adventure and wonder.

Dry Canyons

Level 1

Location:  Minnow Canyon, Superstition Mountains

No previous rappeling experience required.  Some hiking experience helpful but not required.  Good fitness is always a plus.

Level 2

Location:  Zig-zag or Tango Canyon, Superstition Mountains

Previous rappeling experience required.  Level 2 trips consist of strenuous hikes and challenging rock hoping.

Dry Canyons are canyons that don’t typically have enough water running through to require swimming and/ or a wetsuit.  There may be a pool here and there that one must wade through.

Itinerary and Program Overview:

Meet at 8am in Apache Junction.  Quick introduction and gear check followed by a commute to one of several canyons.  Plan on a very full day and try not to have any plans for early evening these adventures can take between 7 - 9 hours.
